24.5 million jobs are estimated to be generated in the HOSPITALITY sector during 2010-16 … The Working Group on Tourism for the 12th Five-Year Plan, set up by the Planning Commission has estimated the generation of an additional employment of 24.5 million (direct and indirect) in the hospitality sector during 2010–16! To address this huge need for skilled manpower in the hospitality industry, MRIU offers a three-year Bachelor of Science program in Hotel Management. The curriculum is based on ‘Earn while you Learn’ concept with almost 6 months of industrial exposure during the third semester. National & International career opportunities are available in Hotels and Tourism sector, Airlines, Cruise Lines, Railway catering units, Club houses, etc. ACHIEVEMENTS: • Hosted the 10th Commonwealth International Sports Science Congress 2010 at MRIU • Managed venue catering at CWG 2010 along with IRCTC & received a letter of commendation • Managed Catering Operations at IPL 2011 in association with Westin, Gurgaon • Managed Catering Operations at Feroz Shah Kotla for IPL 2013 in association with ITC Maurya • Managed catering operations at ‘YUVA MELA’, organized with FOGSI in April 2014.
