24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued At: 5:00 a.m., 15 June 2013 Valid Beginning: 5:00 a.m. today until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow Synopsis: At 4:00 am today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) was estimated based on all available data at 345 km East of Davao City (7.0°N, 129.0°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting the western sections of Luzon and Visayas. Forecast: The regions of Caraga, Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Ilocos Region, Visayas, the rest of Mindanao and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro and Palawan will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
