24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued at: 5:00 PM 16 October 2014 SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 190 km east of Borongan, eastern Samar (12.0˚N, 127.0˚E). FORECAST: Bicol region, eastern and central Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and western Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan valley will have cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
