24 hours left to change some lives, Help me out here. Hey this is David, We are trying to show these kids new opportunities in the world. I am asking for your help for a very worthy project for kids in a lower income area of Las Vegas. A group of 30 other people and myself are taking a leadership program from Choice Center University (LV133) and we are committed to creating an outrageous community service project for Cambeiro Elementary School in Las Vegas, NV. We are working to make the impossible possible. We are on a mission for 7 days to raise $75,000.00 for Cambeiro Elementary School and your immediate attention is requested due to the urgency of our timeline. Our deadline is Wednesday, October 30th at 7pm. We are looking to inspire and support today’s youth who make a difference in the world tomorrow. Our future lies in the hands of our youth regardless of race and/or religion they are all our future. Cambeiro Elementary in Las Vegas is a Title 1 school, meaning that more than 68% of their students receive government support. 100% of the children qualify for support and receive FREE breakfast and lunch at school daily. Many parents participate in their Parent Resource Program that provides free food and toiletries for families after school and on weekends. The mission of Arturo Cambeiro Elementary School is to create a school environment that promotes educational success and encourages school and community pride through positive interaction and cooperation among community, parents, and school. We believe our mission is to help all students become lifelong learners, achieve academic success, develop physical well-being, display sensitivity to others, recognize and acknowledge their personal worth, and play a productive role in society. Team Goal: Raise a minimum of $75,000 in cash and in-kind items to support 593 kids and families at this school by Wednesday, October 30th at 7pm. Program: Send 79 4th Graders to Science Camp in California in May Cost: $30,000 to cover 5 days of camp plus the bus transportation 2. Program: Fund the Drama, Chess and Tutoring Club After School Programs Cost: $20,000 to Provide 5 teachers for the Year to Offer the Programs 3. Program: Purchase 18 Bikes as Attendance Incentives Cost: $1,800 ($100 per bike x 18 bikes) In-kind donations can include jackets, socks, toiletries, non-perishable foods, backpacks, school supplies, laundry detergent, socks, small denomination gift cards, bus passes, grocery gift cards, and any other donation you see fit. All of the incentives above will require each student to stay in excellence with their attendance, behavior in and out of school and their grades. The result of your help and our services means that the children and families, many of whom are underprivileged, of our community can live engaged, alert, and physically active lives as long as possible.
