24 years back the same day, I joined the branch office @ Vijayawada on posting. I remember at 10 am when I went to office after little search, people in dozens stood at gate as if waiting to welcome me. When I approached an elderly person and handed my appointment letter, he directed me to the Head of the branch, a slim short person with clean shave. He looked at me completely and said " Well, you joined on a special day its bandh on account of murder of a political leader at city, also today is 43rd Insurance day with LIC... now go and take rest for today and come tomorrow is the office is open." Thus, I started my journey with CB1-686 Vijayawada. Every day so exited, energized, creative, productive, fun filled of course at times dull, depressive, unyielding, and bored too... Another 12 1/2 years service remaining, I wish to touch the finish thread with same enthusiasm and energy to grow my self and to serve others. God Bless LIC. God Bless People.
