25/11/13 Rom. 9:18 (KJV) “Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth”- There is an inherent, dormant natural, hereditary hardness in all humans. Then there is a sequential, habitual hardness developed by deeply indulging in momentary pleasures of sin & there is judicial or judiciary hardness, which is inflicted by sovereign God as a punishment. Apostle Paul laid down the facts & concludes: that SOVEREIGN God, according to His own will and wisdom, in perfect righteousness, bestows mercy to some & while He permits some who wilfully harden their hearts to go on in the abuse of His goodness, hardening themselves further in sin, till He brings upon them a most just and exemplary punishment, unless this be prevented by their deep repentance and penitent return to God through Christ Jesus, the Messiah.
