25. They will advance to each other, and ask each other: 26. Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people. (A man may be good, and may within limits have found goodness in his own spiritual life, but may still have anxieties about his family or friends whom he loves. All such shadows are removed in heaven by divine grace.) 27. But Allah has been gracious to us, and delivered us from the torment of the breath of Fire. 28. Truly, we have prayed to Him. He is the Kind, the Merciful. (Some commentators of the-Holy Quran interpret that the word gilman used in verse 24 means they are the children who died before their parents will serve as menservants.) 29. Therefore, give warning (0 Muhammad). By the grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 30. Or do they say: He is a poet; we ate waiting for some misfortune to befall him? 31. Say (to them): Wait if you will; I too am waiting along with you! (Those who wait the death of Prophet Muhammad forgetting themselves that they will also die. Here the disbelievers are warned that they will receive the punishment they deserve after they die. Prophet Muhammad and the believers will receive the reward of Paradise after they die.) 32. Do their minds prompt them to say this? Or is it merely that they are wicked men? 33. Do they say: He has invented it (the Quran) himself? Indeed, they have no faith. 34. Let them produce a speech like it, if what they say be true! 35. Or were they created out of the void? Or were they their own creators? 36. Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Surely, they have no faith! 37. Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have control over them? 38. Or have they any stairway (to heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees)? Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! (Here the disbelievers asked the question of whether they own a stairway to Heaven to overhear the decrees. If they (the disbelievers) do then they should produce evidence!)
