25 years ago today I had one of the most memorable & best birthday parties a girl could ask for. Although Hugo had ripped through our town the night before, our sweet neighbors, Tina Harrington Truitt & Tim Truitt traveled to Columbia, SC to buy a cake for one very sad 5 year old. Not only did they find a cake, but the Columbia Pizza Hut donated Pizza, drinks and Land Before Time toys for us to throw an epic hurricane birthday party for the neighborhood kids. The neighbors gathered at the home of Tracy D Jeffords & we celebrated our lives and friendship. That act of kindness, from all parties, will forever stay with me. And it will always be the best party ever. Thank you.
