They are either in twos or threes with envelopes in their arms purporting to have intricate evidences on how they have unearthed the on-goings of Kisii County Government. Their pose depicts desire of empty bellies yearning to quaff the Kisii County Governor James Omariba Ongwae. The cognitions are well known with a touch from dark political base that is geared to subverting the development of Kisii county. The propagandists pose scaring statements in the name of Impeaching the Governor, all this from the centre of a kitchen thereby, around or within Nyaribari Chache. Money is changing hands in the effort to lure a number that can participate in the impeachment process. This is too soon that MCAs have quickly forsaken or cast aside their constitutional obligations in forming alliances to topple the Kisii County Governor before its due time. It is with uttermost perturbation that most Assembly sessions are adjourned because of lack of quorum as those not attending are either consulting politically or having series of meetings on how to impeach Governor at the expense of Kisii County citizens’ developmental programs. We the Umoja Foundation International condemn this vice of political affiliation with individual(s) who are in civil service yet assembling political advancements, alignments, arrangements and or propagating and derailing Kisii County projects. We ask them to provide constitutional advise and avoid using citizens through tips and enhance citizen participation in developmental programs. We also assert that those being maneuvered as vessels of political propaganda through tips and propagating falsehoods yet in civil service without tangible evidences to be brought to book. We also ask the County Government to square and clear any menace within the corners of its house. This includes enabling access to information by the public not classified but pertinent, enhancing public participation and civic education to the Kisii County citizens to understand all the structures of devolved governance and the overall devolved units and their respective functions.
