27 years ago tonight, Slight Return rocked the United Way anti-drug battle of the bands at The Klein Memorial in Bridgeport CT. Our anti-drug message was a little foggy....well...let me share our set list. Young Blood, Cocaine, Brown Sugar, Our anti-drug song called Say No, Feeling Alright, Heard It Through The Grapevine, and Light Up Or Leave Me Alone. I guess we werent good on messaging. Here to explain is Andrew Gromiller. Included here is a jaw dropping guitar solo by a 19 year old Tom Stonoha. Great drumming by Scott Saunders. Bass work by Randy Gould and little ole me Chris Clark on scratchy guitar. As I pack up my gear for a gig tonight 27 years later, I cant believe I still have so much fun doing it after all these years. Well...sometimes its not fun but for the most part, I cant complain. Well no...I still complain.
