28/6/2014. Jay Shri Krishna You have always selected the ephemeral happiness and never eternal. Nature has given you a unique power, a liberty of discretion. You can choose you like. This is bliss as well as a curse. Liberty is wholesome only when you have right and freedom to select anything right or wrong. If you have liberty only to choose the right thing then it can’t be termed as a liberty. One more thing, if liberty is given and if only wrong thing is made available, then again it is of no use. But nature makes you available both the alternatives, the right and the wrong. There is a story that when Buddha was born, his father Shuddhodhan called very famous Pundits to forecast his future on the fifth day of his birth. There were 8 Pundits. They gave Siddharth name to the baby boy. When king insisted to say something about boy’s future, the seven Pundits raised their two fingers. King requested them to be precise. So all the seven said that there are two possibilities in his life, the boy either be will be a great Chakravarti King or a great Sannyasi. The king requested the eighth Pundit, Kudon, who was young but the most renowned Pundit, whose forecast was always true, to say something. He raised only one finger and said the boy shall be a great Sannyasi. Nature has created two possibilities for everyone. One can either become a diplomat, a practical man and spend whole life in comfort, or renunciate worldly comfort and get the eternal bliss. Both the alternative will come to you during voyage of your life. But you always have skipped the eternal bliss and opted for ephemeral. There is nobody responsible for your this plight except you. The ephemeral happiness is sugar coated, glittering, and present before you. You opted and you got. It is like readymade Shrikhand from dairy and homemade Shrikhand. You can purchase Shrikhand from the dairy instantly and eat. But if you want to prepare Shrikhand at home, then you will have to prepare Dahi, then go through so many cycles for two days then you can get it. But it has the different taste. Same is ephemeral happiness, it comes and goes. But it is instant that is why your mind advises you to opt for it. Each life you have been opting for the ephemeral and the eternal has been skipped each time. It is either because your mind gets approval from you while you are insane, sleeping or intoxicated, or you don’t know which among the two is more precious. And again the visible insimiliarity in value can only be missed if you are insane, sleeping or intoxicated. Otherwise how a shrewd person like you choose a pebble when you have an option of choosing Kohinoor instead? Gurdijieff has rightly said that almost entire humankind barring a few, never awakes. They spend their entire life in sleep only. How can you accept visibly inferior options if you are not sleeping? You are most of the time killing your time in doing the things which are not to accompany you after death. How a sane person, a sleepless person can do it? The irony is everybody is fast asleep to the same degree as you, so nobody notices the other’s sleep. If Mira is awakened, you take her as an odd man out. If Socrates is awakened, you resolve him as mad and give him poison. If Jesus is awakened, you brand him lunatic and crucify him. You can’t tolerate a person who has abandoned the sleep. You can’t accommodate him with you. When you read or listen this, you think some over enthusiastic person is intriguing with your sentiments. Frankly saying you have no more regards than this for the truth. Please wait for a moment and ponder on truth and prepare yourself to do or die to imbibe it. You have always selected the ephemeral happiness and never eternal. May God bless you.
