29 years old........ I lost my youngest brother at that age & today, the reality of losing a good friend, at the same age, hit me like a locomotive hits a disabled vehicle, upon the tracks it follows. The Harley, he was SO proud of just having finished being built, needed ONLY to be broken in before we could do some riding together & we talked about it, FB messaged, text messaged & spoke over the phone about it as well....... Today, I realized, the bike is still not broke in & e will not be going on that ride. I have actually, NOt even seen the bike in person yet......... I am glad, the preacher at the service today, recited a poem & told those gathered, to think of it, as if Justin Faulkner, were there, reciting it himself. Well, dont ya know, that is the EXACT time that Patsy Caruso & I, rolled up on our bikes, creating a background sound effect of true AMERICAN HARLEY exhaust pipe music......... Patsy, he got us, one last time!! Lol.... everyone in attendance, said it was, Perfect timing. and I STILL, had the hearse driver come running around the corner and yell at me!! LOL!! I will not forget you brother & hopefully, will be seated beside you upon occassion, when I join you in the Halls of Valhalla. R.I.P. Justin Faulkner, I rode for us both this evening & a few others, whom I will always hold near & dear to my heart, while missing them something fierce as well....... until we meet again, my friend.
