2DAY 3: In my heart I celebrated my dad for what would have been his 85th BD. I am thankful for everything I leaned from him, directly and indirectly. I know he loved God and look forward to: when we all get to heaven, as grandma would sing. I am thankful for the tremendous provisions God made in his life (especially the stuff that was a benefit to me) as he had it rough early on as a son of a preacher, youngest of 5, his parents both killed as his head layed on his mothers lap in the back seat of a car with his older brother driving, they were hit broadside. I am So thankful that in spite of all that followed that tragedy, he never gave up on God. I am thankful he became Joe, (my husbands) best friend, the two of them were quite a pair. I am thankful for every memory I have of him, my only regret was having to say goodbye to him Way Too soon, (for this side of heaven). I love the way he loved my mom and brought out the best in her and how he would talk to me, about anything and everything. Im thankful God choose him to be my dad and that I can love God more completely because of the love I have for my earthly father.
