2d Furlough weekend over. 9 more to go. Unlike last week, this week I had to abandon some key work when I left on Thursday. Monday will be busy catching up . I have to appreciate Ft Leavenworth leadership, they enforce Fridays for Furlough and enforce strict 8 hour days so there will be no implications of anyone being paid for 32 hours and working 32+. Some other posts are not so wise with employees supposedly working 6 hour days incurring all normal expenses. Bad side, I got to see next weeks paycheck, not as bad as I expected since all the taxes drop in proportion but still a drop. Will go lower as this pay period was only a 1 Friday furlough, the next will be two. Good side is Friday works out as a personal day leaving Saturday and Sunday for chores. Flip side is that active duty folks like Melissa Boetig and Brad Boetig probably have it a bit more hectic at work.
