2nd Conference on intellectual disability and Criminal Justice Tuesday 22nd July 2014 9.30am - 5.30pm (Registration from 8.30) The Lance Dobson Lecture Hall, Warrington Campus, Padgate Road, Fearnhead, Warrington, WA2 0DB. The publication of the Bradley Report in 2009, acknowledged the unmet needs of people with an intellectual disability who come into contact with the criminal justice system and provided a series of recommendations. This conference aims to bring together key stakeholders from a variety of disciplines to discuss the achievements and challenges experienced in the proceeding 5 years, to share good practice and to consider how to maintain the momentum for improving the accessibility and availability of services in the future. Confirmed speakers include: Rt Hon Lord Bradley, author of the Bradley Report, His Honour Judge Robert Atherton, and Jenny Talbot OBE, from the Prison Reform Trust. There will also be a series of oral presentations, a poster display and resources available to purchase. Conference rates: The delegate fee is £75 (including conference pack, lunch and refreshments and free parking). We have a limited number of concessionary places available for this event for people with intellectual disabilities, carers and undergraduate students. The concessionary fee is £40.
