3 - 2 CROSS COUNTRY RUN... ...ULTRA MARATHON; 3 in 2 days... (78.6 miles) June 27th & 28th... I will be attempting to run the equivalent of 3 marathons in 2 days... The run will begin in Youngstown, proceed to Hiram College and finish at Case Western Reserve University. Trying to raise AWARENESS & FUNDS....... Awareness about a young scholar from Ethiopia facing the possibility of being denied the second leg of her education.... She has fulfilled her end by completing an accelerated degree program in physics in just three years at Hiram; Deans list all six semesters; honors, etc... Now the scholarship that saw her through Hiram, is not available at Case... As a representative of PEOPLE FIGHTING FAMINE I will be hand delivering letters of support for Lensa to each college... Looking for sponsors for the run in support of our East Africa Student Project; to us Lensa represents hope for the end to famines in her region of the world.... *** You can sponsor me by the mile or with a donation of your choosing..... My final tune-up before the run was this past Saturday, I ran twenty miles; hopeful that this effort will inspire support.......
