3/11/2014 Bible Study Notes taken by Phenola Moore Instructor: Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr. Subject: 7 Steps to Resolve Anger 1. View anger as an alarm to deeper issues. 2. Accept full responsibility for your anger. 3. Correct past offenses and failures when someone has offended you, make it right. 4. Thank God for allowing offenses to come for His purposes – Romans 8:28-29 5. Recognize and yield your rights – Psalm 24:1 6. Overlook the transgression – Proverbs 19:11 7. Resolve your anger issues immediately – Ephesians 4:26-27 Ways to resolve a conflict in this order: First, try to resolve it face-to-face (in person). If that doesn’t work, contact them by phone. If you can’t reach them by phone, either write them a letter or send an e-mail. The last step is through prayer, especially if they don’t want to meet with you or the person is deceased and you cannot discuss the issue and the prayer is that God will grant you peace. Quote: Bitter – “I” How it made you feel? Better – “E” Eternal – In the long run, it made you better.
