3/29/14 Regulatory capture and legislative capture. Of course this spill proves an accident can and will happen. Plus its a good reason why we dont want uranium mining. But whats the point of adding this ~ “Ounce for ounce, coal ash released from a power plant delivers more radiation than nuclear waste shielded via water or dry cask storage.” In an accident who is to say the nuclear waste would remain shielded? Try comparing to Fukushima, Chernobyl or even TMI. Fossil fuels and nuclear are both dirty and dangerous. Time for us in VA to move forward with renewable energy sources.
