3/7/2014 MESSAGE FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA President Obama may wish to decide to withdraw from the footsteps of bad-blood start-up pedestal almost similar to WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. America doesn’t need this drama once again, because the expected benefits, as in previous wars, are non existent. In WW2, almost every penny spent and American life wasted delivered some benefits, and definitely not in other wars. President Obama may wish to vigorously fulfill his most cherished agenda of restoring the infrastructure which will stimulate businesses, industries, services, and bring much need jobs, restore the strength of US Dollar, etc., beside stimulating and implementing the resurrection of lost industrial base in America along with the American Industrial Dignity. During previous periodically regular wars, America benefited by implanting food enterprises, military contracts and the sale of armaments, bilateral trade agreements to open their markets for American businesses/industries, reconstruction after the bombing destruction, promoting Democracy to take control of the key elements and resources of other countries, missionaries, A.I.D, and other endeavors, etc., but today the world has changed and the repercussions of creating or participating in a conflict could be devastating. We need to leave Ukraine and Crimea issues at bay with formal objections and no sanctions. Sanctions seldom work and may be effective for a short time for small and not so powerful countries, and provide plenty of room for others to develop “creative commerce” which is very easy. Russia is not among those countries, and possesses plenty of resources and military power which are in great demand by neighboring countries including many of our allies. U.S will alienate many valuable allies in Europe, Middle East, and Asia by being aggressive in Ukraine and Crimea. In fact, America will be better off and save a lot, politically and financially, by dismantling NATO which has very little to show to support its existence. America should avoid any kind of confrontation because we need peace and trading friends primarily because we need a lot of mending to do at home:……. -about 30% of the population is either unemployed or under employed -about 25% of Americans are on disability -42 million Americans are on food stamps -about 40% of Americans don’t speak fluent English, or don’t know at all -1 in 4 Americans is a victim of crime -average American experiences about 36% decline in median household wealth -richest 1% own 34.6% of U.S total wealth -top 20% Americans own 50.5% of total U.S wealth -bottom 80% of the population owns 15% of the total U.S wealth -400 Americans have more wealth than half of all Americans combined (PolitiFact) -top 400 Americans saw their incomes increase by 392% and their tax rate reduced by 37% (Mother Jones Mar/Apr 2011 issue) -49 million Americans are in poverty, with minimum of 46 million constantly -Americans on welfare, and other assistance is in staggering numbers -we host world’s largest population of prisoners in our jails. Why? -643,000 shelters exist for homeless, in the richest and most powerful country Russia’s friendship will prove to be more valuable than it is currently perceived, and it will be in our interest to create a soft distance away from such issues. President Obama may wish to visit the need to restore American economy in real terms, restore American infrastructure and lost industrial base, bring culture in American lifestyle without which crime will not decrease, pull out all American troops from foreign soil, formulate a sensible and non-political Foreign Policy, so we don’t waste Billions of Dollars and loss of life in chasing rainbows for the benefit of just a few. President Obama may also like to visit the fact that disparity in income and wealth has tremendously increased during his term in the office, housing market remained stagnant, bailed out banks remained uncooperative toward property owners leading latter to destitution, real employment remained allusive, etc., which are extremely dangerous and perhaps destabilizing factors here at home. We need to handle such issues first hand and strengthen the adhesive bonds with all the States of the Union. Perhaps, someday our current democratic free enterprise system will bring more meaningful results than has been seen in recent years. Best regards, Prem Bhandari “Killer Diseases of Women”
