* 3 AM CHAOS in Chennai city * I was moved away with the pleasant climate and was waiting for rain to stop. Around 2 45 AM, It was only drizzling and was longing to capture the lightning which eventually by today gave me a hope. My sister was relaxing and by then i woke her up and asked are you sleepy? she nodded her head by replying no. I told that lets go to Marina and click some lightning, she told cool the next second. We left from our place I was riding slow cuz chances were high of tripping down. Wind was howling at maximum and after crossing GH, i asked her have u ever experienced such kinda night out ? she told nah, not apparently on a two wheeler I chuckled. :D After sometime we saw massive lightning with dark clouds and LOUD thunders. Seemed like clouds are gonna rip off ! :O It was still drizzling and by the time we touched the Memorial roundtana, rain stopped. I was happy cuz i could peacefully click whatever i wanted to but rain gave me a tough competition with her MASSIVE FLASHES :O The moment we touched Napier Bridge it bloody started to pour !! We were still. didnt move thinking that rain would stop after a while which apparently didnt. We then stood under the napiers bridge ( below the white arch ) and was waiting for rain to surpass. we even tried moving back which was a bad thought cuz the wind was against us, completely ! It would have been around 40 mins and were still there. After a few minutes, we decided to push the Activa and walk steadily towards the war memorial where we can find shelter. Rain drops were merely acting as cactus drops, so fast and sharp ! On reaching the memorial, we rubbed our hands against each other as we were freezing not cuz of getting drenched cuz of the wind blowing ! I then marked my frame, set my tripod and waited for the lightning which apparently didnt happen. :/ I was disheartened but then i could see the roads glittering and cars added a pinch of water haze to em.. I took a couple of long exposures and a few other abstracts too. On our way back home, I thanked my sis a lot for accompanying me wherever and whenever i want to. :) The 45 mins of being stranded became chaotic for us but then i was happy cuz what Ive experienced, hardly a few would have. :D ^_^ Thanks a lot Shilpa Sooda :)
