3 INCH SQUARE QUILT BLOCKS- Yeah, I know, I know, I know...missed my getting my friday blog out. This is what I was going to do...I just got caught up in my studio again...and getting caught up in my studio is just how it is for me right now, not doing anything but creating. No phone, no shopping, and pulling me out to get groceries can even be a challenge. Obsessive, much?!! you may ask...I would say YES!! I have those crazy craft shows coming up in November and they always worry me to the point of where I start to produce like a madwoman. Switching gears and topic...I wanted to share my 3 inch quilt blocks with you today. Each of these quilt blocks start with an underlying base square. I then like to go in with my kaleidoscope cane slices and put together different patterns throughout. I have been using another smaller square and place this in the center as a diamond shape in the blocks. For the most part...I dont think about what pattern I will come up with, and I get a general mendala design in the end. I have really been loving my new set of smaller heart cutters...they come in so handy on these quilts...gives the extra touch of detail each needs. Personally, like I said earlier, yesterday was crazy. Created forever in the studio and then my boys tell me we got to leave for the Homecoming football game where they would be singing during the game. My husband and I after dropping them off went on our own little date out to eat. I was nice and I finally got out of the studio to breathe. We all didnt get home til very late and so, hence my non-posting blog on friday...but not to fear...a Saturday treat! I hope you are all well and having a great day!!
