3) Personally, I felt that open chapters of TLS were boring. I feel that the book became slow when the training to become a SEAL was described. However, as the story transitioned into the mission, it regained my interest. My favorite parts of TLS were the ones that described the patriotism and toughness of Marcus fellow SEALS during their final stands because it showed how dedicated they were to not only their SEAL team, but their country. I found the ending of the book to slip back into the (in my opinion bad) habits of the beginning chapters. I felt they were pretty dragged out, but still succeeded at telling on of the most crucial parts of Luttrells experience. His escape was pretty surprising to me, as I wasnt expecting him to be brought in and protected.
