3 Positive Things 3/7: This was a perfect day, the best ever! Heres why. 1. Had an incredibly beautiful sail aboard Yule Tide, Dana Morriss Cape Dory 26, from Fairhaven to Lake Tashmoo on the Vineyard. -- in a 19 knot SW breeze across Buzzards Bay, through Woods Hole on a slack tide, and across Vineyard Sound. Absolutely the best sail in years! 2. Ran into 2 gorgeous cousins Id not seen in years on the 5:15 Fast Ferry back to New Bedford: Lucy Carrigan and Vera Gibbons. Had a wonderful catchup conversation with them. Lucy is Irish and live in NYC. Shes in charge of media relations for the International Rescue Committee. Vera also lives in NYC and is a financial analyst for CNN (I think). Fascinating women I am proud to be related to. 3. A sublime concert of classical chamber music this evening at the Buzzards Bay Musicfest in Marion, the best of which was Brahms Quintet for Piano and Strings in F minor. They performed superbly. Yes. All in all, a perfect day, for which I am very thankful.
