3 Priesthood types - 4.4 Leadership of the Church Central to the Master Plan of Yeshua for His Church in the earth realm to function in a way which manifests the fullness of His nature and glory are these three interrelated truths: 1. All saints are called to serve Yahweh, one another and the world as Part of the Royal priesthood after the Order of Melchizedeck. This is fulfilled as they receive spiritual gifts to be released according to prompting of the Holy Spirit or felt needs they discern or see. The core scriptures which establish this truth are: Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:7-9,11; 1 Peter 4:10-11 1 Corinthians 12:7 (KJV)7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Ephesians 4:7-8 (KJV)7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 1 Peter 4:10-11 (KJV)10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. This truth is exposited in great detail in the ground breaking download, GSOM Course 113: Concerning Spiritual Gifts which is recommended for diligent study. Any one who claims to be a leader in the Household of Faith but rejects this universal priesthood of all saints who are gifted from heaven to function is operating in the mindset of the Nimrod or Levitical Priesthood. That person is not qualified – his or her ‘anointing’ notwithstanding - to lead Blood-washed saints! He/she can only end up aborting their destinies and quenching the Holy Fire within their spirit-man. Because spiritual gifts are received in the spirit-man which is neither male nor female, no one can discriminate against any saint on the basis of gender. Those who do so are operating from a Nimrodic or Levitical perspective because those two decadent priesthoods were exclusively for males! Those qualified to lead saints into maturity and manifestation of their spiritual and natural destinies 2. The Five Fold To have the spiritual capacity to lead saints into their destinies, Yeshua deposits an aspect or aspects of His headship office into those He chooses by His Own Sovereign will! Nobody should or can take a title unto Himself, concerning this! Yeshua Himself makes the choice of which of the five categories of office gifts and functions for spiritual maturation of the saints He confers on vessels of His choice as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. Contrary to what some erroneously teach, none of the offices in the five fold was to end with the first century church or confined to those who stayed with Him physically while He was on earth. This scripture was written many years after Yeshua died, rose and ascended to heaven. Ephesians 4:11-16 (KJV) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. As stated in Ephesians 4: 11 – 16 the fivefold has the sacred trust of executing this divine agenda: • Perfect the Saints to know who they are in Yeshua and who He is in them • Equip the saints to know their roles in the work of Yeshua on the earth and do so • Enable the saints to play their assigned roles in building up/edifying the Church • When the saints receive ministry from the five fold, they come to a place of unity in our faith to the degree that regardless of racial/ethnic backgrounds, social status, age, gender or location, the knowledge of Yahweh, His Kingdom, the Church of Yeshua, Jesus and the lifestyle we are called to live on earth • The saints thus become mature and measure up to the fullness of the stature of Yeshua • With this, immaturity will be removed and the saints will no longer be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine/sweet sounding doctrines of devils and soulish inventions of men and women. The saints will be able to read a book or listen to say the greatest of the pseudo Kingdom teachers and know exactly where leaven is hidden. They will thus be able; by the Holy Spirit at work in them have an internal sensor which places a check in their spirit to know when even famous teachers have deviated from the faith! 1 John 2: 18-28. • Saints who are thus built up will discern when preachers are setting them up to milk them – whether in promoting books, seeking funds or any avenue of crafty fund raising to finance vanities. • Saints are able to mature to the point where they freely receive and release all their gifts and callings for the mutual edification of the whole Body. To each of these office gifts/functions, Yeshua released a measure of Himself. They are not to operate alone or the Church will remain immature and inadequate. Yeshua, Jesus deliberately made it so lest humans try to build personal religious empires around their persons or the office gifts. Each of the five fold was to receive a good understanding of who Yeshua, Jesus is and proclaim Him with conviction and power, by the Holy Spirit. In effect, the Church of Yeshua, Jesus will be inadequate and less than what it is ordained to be anywhere and anytime the fivefold is dysfunctional or absent. That is why Satan went for the jugular within the first 400 years of the Church when he caused the true Gospel of the Kingdom to be sidetracked and dead religion was foisted with its humanistic systems of religiosity. Babylon became the result of the union of the organized wing of the Church and State with the total abolition of the five fold in favour of concentration of supreme authority in one individual at local parish, diocese, national or global level. Let he/she who reads understand wisdom. As we enter the closing chapter of the Church age, the enemy has struck again and foisted upon humanity an equally dangerous diversion, the pseudo Kingdom gospel. Certainly more dangerous than the organized Babylon with its pomp and pageantry, this one comprises many Spirit filled saints who have relapsed into soul based worship and in the process, opened themselves to the same Old serpent who tricked Adam and Eve to try and worship through human reasoning and mental permutations!. These men and women have decided to set aside the true gospel as described in the Bible. They claim that the Bible is inadequate to guide them and they have proceeded to create a new gospel in which the Bible is severely twisted and distorted to mean what they want it to mean. Their antics were exposed in the teaching series on the leaven of the Pseudo Kingdom movement. Danger Lurks where the Fivefold is absent! The reason why the pseudo Kingdom movement has deceived many is because of the absence of the five fold at ground level. No saint can be deceived who receives the full ministry of the five fold! 3. The Diaconate For the five fold to function effectively, the early Church discovered the need to receive the functional office of the Diaconate. We need to recall that Yeshua Himself who is the Chief Apostle; Chief Prophet; Chief Evangelist; Great Shepherd (Pastor) and Chief Rabbi (Teacher) received the ministry of the disciples and women who served with passion and zeal which freed Him from engagement with business of His ministry and rather concentrated on prayer, teaching, preaching and ministering healing, deliverance, signs and wonders. In the same way, the apostles came to a realization that there was need for those who were primarily called and gifted to take care of the many things required to make ministry function effectively to take their place. In other words, it is the plan of our King that while the Five fold are used of Him to invest prayers, the word into saints for their maturation in Him, another set of leaders will concentrate in creating the enabling environment for that design to take place, known as the Diaconate. Here is the account of how this need was established as a New Covenant reality. Acts 6:1-7 (KJV) 1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. 5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. As we see in Acts 6:7, when things are put in order this way, there is true Church Growth, endorsed from heaven! That growth is organic as all brethren in the congregation – including the fivefold and diaconate and saints functioning in their Melchizedeck priesthood get on with the business of serving one another in love. The outcome is described in Ephesians 4:15-16: 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. The diaconate is in no way inferior to the Five fold! Both of them represent different dimensions of Kingdom leadership which is service to yeshua and His Body. Those who must function well in both dimensions of leadership need to die to self abd be wholly consecrated to the King and committed to manifestation of His Kingdom in the earth realm through the Church and in the future with His return! Ministers of the Gospel must recognize who owns the flock! All Pastors must recognize the reality that the saints are active members of Yeshua, not denominations or their Pastors! That they are in congregations is a privilege and leaders must not regard them as their personal properties or slaves to feed them with any stuff! Their Head and Saviour has already determined what He wants to feed them with and how to build them up. Any minister who refuses to follow the divine plan is unqualified to lead the saints!
