3 extortionists arrested by shopian Police Shopian, July 02 : Shopian Police led by SHO Irshad Ahmad arrested three extortionists who were posing as militants. The extortionists were identified as Mohammad Syed Shah Son of Abdul Rashid R/o Derapora Shopian, Ishafaq Ahmad Mir S/o Ghulam Ahmad & Sajad Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Ayoub both residents of Tantray Pora Kulgam.The trio used to pose as militants and were extorting money from the people of Alamganj area of Shopian district. SHO Irshad Ahmad told Sach News Bureau Chief Bilal Habib that a complaint was logged on 22 May & Police recovered a fake weapon and 1800 rupees from the accused. An FIR under NO 91/2013 Under Section 341,392 RPC has been registered at Police Station Shopian in this regard. Further Investigations are going on.
