3 members of the board of the german Partei Mensch Umwelt Tierschutz (This party is represented by Stefan Bernhard Eck at the European Parliament) will travel to Bucharest to see the reality with their own eyes. Detailed schedule will be prepared during the next days. Barbara Nauheimer (one of the three national chairmen) was in Romania already. Some of her dogs have been rescued from the Buzau public shelter. Bettina Jung, specialist in alternative healing of animals, herself operating a private shelter for dogs, cats and many other kinds of animals explained that her main issue is the fair treatment of livin beings. To euthanize healthy animals is not an option to her. As a former student of veterinary medicine she sees only one solution for the stray dog problem: castration projects. The third member of the delegation will be Martin Buschmann who is very engaged in environment protection/animal protection with a special focus on the fight against vivisection.
