3 months ago today I was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer. My mass was 7cm . Doctor Burrell told Michael and I that he recommended that I do radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the mass, I remember sitting on his couch thinking wtf. I looked over at Michael and waited for a reaction but his face never changed. He sent us to the front desk to wait for them to schedule my appointment with radiation therapy. We sat there for what seemed forever waiting for this lady. They had this basket full of fight like a girl stuff. I can be honest with you I never thought I would be wearing one for myself, both my mom and sister had cancer so I am no stranger to the fight. I had every emotion in a period of 30 mins that day. I have since had 7 weeks of chemo and 30 treatments of radiation with a several more left. I will tell you this I dont wish this fight on anyone. I now know that I am stronger then I thought I was. I have said to several people that I am not gonna live like Im dying now, Im just gonna LIVE!!! If you have said a prayer for me THANK YOU! I could have never made it this far without my wonder and amazing husband Michael. My super duper family and friends. I love you all so much.
