3 more arrested in Chako murder case The city police has arrested three more persons accused in the K P Chako abduction cum killing case, taking the total number of arrests into the Naharlagun trader’s sensational murder case to seven, claimed Capital SP Seju P Kuruvilla in a release here. He informed that in an early morning operation, the city police team laid an ambush at Holongi area and arrested three persons and recovered one pistol, 4 live rounds, one fired empty cartridge, one stolen motorcycle, 6 mobile phones and 9 SIM cards from their possession. Based on information, the team led by SDPO Jumar Basar and consisting of Insp M Nyori, Sub-Inspectors T Loya, N Lali & G Basar and constables from IRBn laid the trap and managed to intercept the trio. The SP also informed that during the operation, the accused have fired upon the police party and tried to flee. In response, the cops too opened fire and subsequently, caught all the three accused alive. They have been admitted in R K Mission Hospital as they received bullet injury during the operation. Further investigation is in progress to arrest the remaining accused on the run, he added.
