3 things; 1. Got my GSIS E-card plus at GSIS Financial Center when i was in Manila and what a pleasant surprised i got like efficient service and a clean spacious canteen offering food at reasonable prices. Heard some comparison in the past about government service and private one, the former was like someone was always carrying the attache case/bag wherever the boss goes while in private it is the boss that carries the luggage himself.It seems all that has changed for the better. 2.My son Lee who works in Chad, Africa surprised us again when he showed up in the house without notice.Automatically, we asked are you ebola-free and he replied smilingly, yes of course. Then he told us about this ebola scare that in the stop-overs he made like in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and in Bangkok, Thailand, the airport terminal is almost deserted because of that dreaded ebola. 3.I always take a taxi in Manila and seats beside the driver and sometimes also in FX taxi and conversation follows like what they think of the Binay investigation. It is a sad commentary they said, that they public has accepted with resignation and acceptance that corruption is still happening. The only difference is if the politicians are giving back some things to the public or they pocket the money so hungrily. They dont ask anymore where the money came from.
