3 year old Baxter is a gray and white Staffordshire mix, who was found as a stray by a person who seems to have intended to keep Baxter, but Baxter and his dog conflicted, and now Baxter is stowed at this high kill shelter waiting to be killed at noon today. He is reported to be friendly by everyone he has met. He was described as being easy to walk, waggy, sitting on command. Be sure to watch his video! He is rated for an Experienced handler on the behavior assessment he has a high energy level, is distractable, and hard to put in position. He probably would benefit from careful introductions to other dogs since he conflicted with the dog of the person who found him and was stiff with the helper dog; with patience and training such interactions will be more successful.
