3 years ago today, I moved to Central NY to help a good friend start Main Street Farms. In 3 short years, we have built 3 greenhouses, an Aquaponics system, 2 walk-in coolers, and many other infrastructure improvements. We now farm 5 different properties, have a 90 member CSA, sell at 2 farmers markets, about a dozen restaurants, 3 health food stores, and more. We have given countless tours, workshops, presentations, consulting, and tabled at many events. We have installed Aquaponics systems in numerous classrooms and educated thousands of kids, both young and old. There is much work still to be done, but its important to stop and smell the roses (or tomatoes) every now and then. My purpose is not to gloat, but to hopefully inspire. Hard work does pay off. Follow your dreams. Anything is possible! Teamwork makes the dream work. Special thanks to one of the best farm crews around. Much gratitude for all our friends, family and community members who have supported us and helped us along the way. We couldnt have done this without YOU!
