30 Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Scunthorpe United. A more even second quarter of an hour with the hosts fighting back with a couple of bursts towards the Iron area, both drawing free-kicks. Llera brought down Josh King and Taylor felled David Dunn. Both free-kicks were on the edge of the box but were dealt with comfortably. At the other end United had a penalty appeal turned down after a ball in from Myrie-Williams forced OConnell into intercepting on the penalty spot. Bishop read the situation better than the centre-back, getting between ball and man, before going down under pressure. Referee Stockbridge waved appeals away to Bishops disbelief. On the half-hour Madden brought down a high ball with a deft touch inside the box, turning his man, before firing into Songoos chest on the edge of the 6-yard box. The rebound fell to Taylor who tested Kean but couldnt beat the Blackburn stopper. More positive play from the Iron, again on top of things here.
