30 Prayer Challenge for our Pastors Day # 5 Strong Marriage “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” —Ephesians 5:25 ESV Pray for Your Pastor: Ask God to protect your pastor’s marriage and keep it strong as a model of Christ’s relationship with the Church. Pray that your pastor will tenderly cherish and lead his wife and that she will respect and encourage her husband, submitting to his leadership. (If your pastor is not married, pray for his relationships with loved ones and those who are close to him.) Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5:23–33 Love, Marriage, Unity, Grace, Forgiveness, Peace, Kindness, Patience. We could go on with the list of things we need to make a marriage work. First and foremost, we need Jesus! He is the one center that will keep a marriage united. Thank you God that you provided your only son for us! Lord, we pray for a marriage knitted tightly in You for our Pastors and their spouse. Help them to lead by example the very way a Godly man and woman should be in unity allowing it not only to be encouragement for the church but also a challenge for marriages. Allow the husband/wife of the Pastor to be their greatest encourager, prayer warrior, listener, critic and support. At the end of the day Father, may their marriages be stronger than the last and their love shine brighter than the day before. Bless them with a new love for one another today and may they open up to each other in a deeper and more meaningful way. Help them Lord to be INTENTIONAL about the unity in which you brought together for each of them in marriage. In Jesus Name!
