30 years ago back in Dolgeville, NY I started what would become Lyon Landscaping Design and Installation when I mowed lawns and planted trees, shrubs and flowers for the likes of Mrs. Naizby, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Roberts, Dr. and Mrs. Osinaga, Mr. and Mrs. Lumley, Mr. and Mrs. George Delucco and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Steciak when they owned Fancy That gift store on Main Street and had such a fantastic perennial garden out front. The seed had been planted bout 6 years earlier when I was 8 or 9 and asked my Mom and Grandmother if I could help them plant in the vegetable garden that spring. Luckily they said yes and gave me a little corner section of which I planted a few vegetables and some marigolds. I was hooked. Today, after years of cultivating it, Lyon Landscaping has grown into a full fledged design and installation company where Ive literally landscaped 100s of homes, including some of our most beloved stars in film, television and music. Recent projects have included homes for Jeffrey Tambor (tv,film star who has a resume a mile long), Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond), Colbie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother), John 5 (rock star with Rob Zombie and formerly of Marilyn Manson), Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live), Lea Thompson (Back to the Future, Caroline in the City) and director Howard Deutch (Pretty in Pink, The Great Outdoors, The Replacements...) to name but a few. It gives me great pleasure when I drive by a home that I landscaped many years ago and see it flourishing! I love Mother Nature and am proud to assist her on this journey. Cheers!
