$300 for outfit $700 for band $300 rehearsal studio $80 to cab gear there and back $20 Haircut/Color $50 video man to tape show $50 For Flyers/Business cards to pass out at show ___________________________________________ $1,500 spent to perform a 15 minute set at a show thats free. And Im not complaining, Ill do it again tomorrow if I have to, because one day it will ALL pay off. I say this because people always look at me like I have it all together. Like I never need help or nothing ever goes wrong. Im faced with burdens EVERYDAY just like every other artist. Yes Im broke, yes Im hungry, yes Im tired, yes I do still need to practice the transition in verse 2, Yes half my EP is gone due to a Hard drive crash, yes customers call me at 4 am at night/morning with no regard to me being fatigued, Yes I have to work 15 hours a day to keep not only a roof over my head but a career afloat, Yes I might be a little insane from running on empty so long... but no, I wont stop, because it will ALL pay off. Stay blessed good people. Be encouraged. Whether you see me perform tonight, Next year, or next decade... I APPRECIATE the support regardless. Dont look down, dont focus on what was, focus on what will be. Find a reason to keep going.
