#3618 I dont know if you guys can help me with this, but Im kind of in a little dilemma. My father, hes practically been abusing my mother for the past two years. Its some weird family shit that cant be undone. But hes been abusing her and lecturing her every night, when he assumes that me and my siblings are sleeping. He lectures her about how she speaks to us in English and not our native language, how she cares for her own little brother more than him, how she apparently cheated on him to bring her brother over to America (when in reality she didnt, she told both me and my siblings the truth and shes innocent, shes unemployed and didnt want to deal with my father saying no and not paying for my uncles plane tickets and all that stuff). My father is completely BLINDED by the events that happened TWO YEARS AGO. And hes not facing a middle-age crisis: one of my siblings is in college and my dad is in about his mid-50s. I feel like Ive lost all of my respect for him, with the way he treats his own wife. But theres also something going on in my friends life. A few months ago, I heard that my friends father passed away. You guys have NO IDEA how much Ive been praying every night for him and his father to have a happy reunion. Ever since 8th grade. And now Im in 10th grade. They also have a background which I dont have permission to say, but from that lesson, I learned that I should also be respecting my father, and not just my mother. But with my fathers near-sightedness, I dont know how to treat him anymore. He cant even have one good conversation on the phone with HIS brother, let alone his wife. He even scared one of my friends when we were working on a project one day and he came home. He even scared one of my friends LITTLE SISTERS. And she was about three years old at the time. Yes, he is THAT loud and THAT harsh. And this is not a feminist confession, its just my father, hes inflicting both emotional and mental pain on the whole family... I dont know what to do anymore guys, help me.
