365 days of music you need to know...Day 3/365 (picking up after slacking for the weekend - 3 posts today) This is the track that first introduced me to Danko Jones, via a compilation album called How We Rock released on Swedens Burning Heart Records via Epitaph Records here in the States. Furthermore, these guys are actually a Canadian band. Simple, straightforward rock-n-roll. Obvious AC/DC influences, but they wont bore you like the boys from down under tend to. Danko Jones exhibits some pretty obvious punk influences, along with a touch of Motorhead, and just enough groove and swagger to make the hooks that much more memorable. If the record industry wasnt so corrupt and these guys were bigger, I fully believe they would puch serious units, and this song with replace strip club staples like Cherry Pie and Pour Some Sugar on Me. ...mostly because this is actually a well-written song. https://youtube/watch?v=BNQRv4uvbhU
