38 Degrees members in Central Devon, are hitting the streets of Crediton on Saturday, October 11 at High Street; and the corner of Market Street, to spread the word about TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership). The agreement could see large corporations regulating public services across Europe and the UK. Find out more at the link below. The most important part of the deal is the Investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) in which corporations can challenge government policies, but neither governments nor individuals are granted any comparable rights to hold corporations accountable! The team in Central Devon will be handing out leaflets, encouraging voters to contactr their MEPs and find out where they stand on this controvercial trade deal as they will be the ones who’ll eventually vote on TTIP. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transatlantic_Trade_and_Investment_Partnership
