3a.m is related to many darkness myths. For instance, black Masses (ritual) are notably done at 3a.m. and not at midnight, thus these dark rituals are done at this hour to provide a gain of strength to evil. 3.am. is as well a distance enough from sunset-dusk to mornings dawn. Sunshine, even in small traces of infrared and UV from the sun can still be seen for over an hour after sunset. However, at 3:AM for instance, a new moon dark sky can leave a full cover of darkness and darkness is power to demons and evil spirits.
