4/11/14 so, today is 10th of Muharram. and we remember and pray for the martyres of Karbala. this Sunday, things were really slow in Sunday bazar, as the vendors thought of the processions which pass by the anarkali bazar and neela gunbad chowk. anyways, some people were there. and there were customers also. it was a strange look. anarkali bazaar which normally on sundays is full with customers, was completely closed. same was with the old anarkali food street. every shop was closed, but the books bazar had full rush of book lovers. anyhow, i didnot stay for long. i got the following books, which i am attaching also, thanks to Muharram holidays. 1) mulaqatain intazar hussain memoirs/sketches 2) aap ka boxer, mera shohar seeman ghaznavi memoirs regarding her husband. 3) maddah e homoeopathy- mumtaz mufti khalid masood qureshi articles of mumtaz mufti regarding homoeopathy 4) muqaddama e sher or shayeri altaf hussain hali 5) wake up india annie besant lectures of mrs. annie besant-1913 6) five famous women by bakhshi ram rattan.1931 the ladies discussed are chand bibi, ahalya bai, queen victoria, madam curie and florence nightiangale. 7) padhana- mazi kay ainay main abdur rasheed mughal. padhana is an ancient village near indo-pak border-lahore.
