4-21... 2011 changed our lives forever! Mom came over directly from the hospital, sat on the sofa and said Jer, its not good... And I said okay, what is it? When deep down I already knew. She confirmed its cancer but without even a pause she assured me but Im going to fight it!! Im not ready to die AND SHE FOUGHT IT, she fought chemotherapy, infected lymph nodes, radiation, a nodule in her right lung, a pulmonary embolism, a brain tumor, emergency brain surgery, another brain tumor, a laser surgery, a third brain tumor, and a second surgery, a blood clot in her neck, and two more brain tumors with a will to live! Through all that she went through, cancer ultimately brought our family closer together, gave us the opportunity to do things we would have otherwise put off, my parents got remarried, we found a church FAMILY, mom & dad joined that family, mom gave her life to Christ, was baptised, remarried the love of her life and husband of 34 years, and earned her way through those pearly gates! When momma said she would fight SHE MEANT IT!!! 3 years, seemed like 10 to her, but she NEVER gave up!
