4 days ago one of our first calf heifers freshened 2 months early. Now usually this would be referred to as an aborted pregnancy but her calf was born alive and seemingly fully matured with the exception that she was 1/3 of the size. She is a miracle. It took her 2 days to walk with assistance. 4 days for her to get up on her own and walk freely. After a day she suckled from a regular size nipple and bottle. She is maybe 25 lbs today and her voice suits her tiny frame. I hope she continues to amaze us with her strength to live!
