40 Years Ago BULLETIN TODAY December 4, 1974 Front Page Winners in Rotary Spot Painting Contest Listed Alfonso Medilo, a senior student at the University of Sto Tomas, won First Prize over some 150 contestants in the on-the-spot painting competition of the Rotary Club of Manila last Sunday atop Manila Royale Hotel in Quiapo. The 25 -year old student son of Jose Medilo, a bakery technologist, and the former Thelma Serrano, will receive P500 in cash and the prestigious Rotary Art Trophy. Second Prize went to 15-year old Rossano Capili, a junior high school student of the Philippine College of Arts and Trades. He will receive P300 in cash and a bronze plaque. Third Prize went to Paulino Dimalanta, a graduating student at the college of fine arts of Philippine Womens University. He won P100 cash. Adjudged Honorable Mention were Heraclio Basilio, UST; Danilo Gonzales, Feati University; Nonilo Comoda; Feati; Benjamin Cabrera; UST; Cesar Devera, UST; Silvino Lopez, PCAT; and Filemon Dela Cruz, UST.
