420 N. 7th: Henry A Heaslip (Collins & Heaslip, carpets and rugs) built this house in the 1880s. His family was there until the 1940s. Franklin D. Stone, principal of the Senior High school, later superintendent of Keokuk schools, and his wife Louise, bought the Heaslip home in the late 1900s and sold it in 1958.
