45 years ago today I watched men land on the moon for the very first time. I was with my Uncle Gerald at his and my Aunt Billies home in Camp Meeker, California. Most people in town did not have a TV. Their TV antenna was up in the top of a redwood tree. We celebrated Geralds birthday. My mom, my sister Roberta, her children, Edward, Karen and Kenny. It is amazing to consider all the things that happened between the time that Gerald was born in 1897 and when he died in 1992. The inventions, the historic events... time changed rapidly in those 95 years. He called an automobile a machine, an ice cream cone a cornucopia and loved to play Pinochle.
