45 years is a very long time to be in a band. Especially for the long hard road the Allman Brothers Band had to travel down with all its twists and turns. Its sad to know that together, they wont be out there as unit anymore, but they still be out there in various different projects, spreading the word that the brothers started so many years ago. To borrow a line from Jerry Wexlers eulogy that was spoken at Duane Allmans funeral sums it up best in reference to Duane Allman and now also in regards to the band... we have his music, and the music is imperishable.” Thanks for shaping my musical mind over the years.
