48 hours ago I discovered my Avaya IP Office was hacked. My SIP provider, Flowroute, informed me I had an unusual number of calls to Poland. I thought I fixed the problem. Today, I started seeing additional charges for calls to Africa. Again, I thought I stopped it. In a 2-hour period tonight, my Flowroute account processed over 700 calms to the UK, costing me over $300 in charges. Thanks to my good friend Bobby Stewart, we spent nearly 2.5 hours analyzing my network and IP Office system. We discovered my Comcast modem password was changed, my IP Office security passwords were changed, and changes to many of my internal extensions were made, allowing scum (the only clean word I can come up with), to call worldwide. System is now locked down and secure. A special THANK YOU to my friend Bobby Stewart for all your assistance. Now Im hoping Flowroute will extend a 1-time courtesy and re-credit my account for these charges.
