Jaren Aurand and Chloe Riley also scored runs, while Wyatt Evert and Konner Mikesell both came across home plate twice each. Coach Ashley Carlgren was impressed with their players’ slides and base running and mentioned that Seth Vacek and Lindsey Thomas made a good out that evening. Team A hit the ball well under the lights in Scandia as well. The Belleville Citizens arrived in green and faced off against Pike Valley’s Pee Wee team sporting their new blue jerseys this year. Guests were greeted with music before and during the game and Gail Anne Aurand treated the crowd to a find rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.” Coach Troy Newman said the team hit the ball well. “Gavin Thomas got the win by allowing only two runs for the night.” Pike Valley however made good on getting their own runs in with Clancy Sjolander and Sam Montague both scoring two runs. Daltyn Garman, Trevor Allen, Destin Long, Ethan Benne and Gavin Thomas all came home once each, while Chas Carlgren scored three runs for a first Panthers win of the season 12-2.
