This summer marks the 20th anniversary of the 1994 wildfires that burned over 181,000 acres around Leavenworth, Blewett Pass, and the Entiat valley, destroying 37 homes. TONIGHT, we will gather to reflect on the 1994 Fire Season and the 20 years of rebuilding, regrowth, and the resilience of local communities and the natural ecosystems that surround us. Please join us at 5:30pm for a community potluck on the lawn at Barn Beach Reserve, to be followed at 7:00pm by a presentation in The Barn Learning Center, showcasing John Marshalls stunning fire photography. We will also open the floor for community storytelling; please consider bringing a story to share.
