Did battle with carburetors, no sleep, rain, cold, hot, IMPOUND, some idiot that tried to have me disqualified for my tires, all in a completely untested new car, 15-1 compression BBC twin carbs on a tunnel ram, driven from track to track on pump gas, full manual valve body TH400 Trans and 4.10 gears. with my 14 y.o. Daughter riding shotgun. Even with all the carb problems we still managed a 9.66 average and thats with turning in a crapy 10.82 time on Impound day. The Ratchero laid down a 9.08 on the last day which should have been done everyday. And thats in a 3100# car with me in it. No power adders just DT horsepower!! 100% built in this shop. No store bought motors or transmissions here. And the gas mileage wasnt that bad either. Between 8and 9. Some thought it couldnt be done, but other than the bad carburetor and goofy Moon gas tank there were no problems. Had a great time with family and friends while driving a real Hot Rod!!!
